needle felting

June 6, 2009

How adorable is this felted wool rabbit made by Nancy Bevin of Motley Mutton? Made with wool grown on her own farm no less. You can see more great stuff from Nancy on her website,  etsy and she also sells on ebay. I swear this rabbit looks like he’s just about to say something…

I had never heard of needle felting, it’s quite interesting and after watching a couple of tutorials about it on youtube I really appreciate the work that has gone into these pieces.

Hey Del, search for “needle felting tutorial” on you tube (is youtube one word?)anyway there are some good ones that might inspire you to give it a go, getting hold of the wool might be tricky though.

The more needlefelting pieces I see the more I want to try it! There is someone on Etsy who sells little Benjamin Bunnies and Jemima Puddleducks too, just love them!

I searched for fleece and wool fleece on etsy and there is plenty there. Postage would probably be pretty cheap as wool is light. Interesting…
