Why do libs hate business profits so much? why can’t a health insurance company make the profit it sees fit?

libs…..stop trying to ruin my stock portolio by threatening to put insurance companies out of business or cut their profits.

I worked hard for what I have, so libs please stop trying to redistribute it to lazy shiftless bums. If they cant afford to buy good health insurance, its their problem, not mine.

Nobody should make money by running death panels to kill Americans by denying them health care. FAIL. Collecting dividends is in no way hard work. Get a job and earn an honest living while you still can, before you die and burn for eternity. ∠°)

It’s your responsibility to ditch stocks in any industry that is threatened. Health insurance legislation does not have to ruin your portfolio if you manage the portfolio.

Maybe liberals and others are afraid of being unable to afford the premiums, which are rising much faster than wages or inflation.

Perhaps they are afraid of losing health coverage and then experiencing an illness that bankrupts them. Perhaps they wonder if doctors would be willing to treat them at that point, or if they would be left to suffer and perhaps die.

That might be why health insurance profits seem more offensive than other industries’ profits, rightly or wrongly.

Why are you so pro- insurance companies? Every president for 65 years (including GOP) has wanted to reform health care and the insurance industry.

It’s no secret that they are running a monopoly. There is no free competition. They are as unscrupulous as a company can get.

No one begrudges them a profit, but when their denial to provide coverage to people who are insured is the #1 cause of bankruptcy in the US.

    How can you defend that?

There is nothing wrong in making an honest profit. I believe United Health Care made something like a 6 percent profit this past year. On the surface that seems reasonable. However if you dig a little deeper you find that health insurance companies typically run a 25 to 30% overhead. Contrast this to Medicare which runs a 3% overhead. Also please be aware that due to the economy 14,000 people in the United States lose medical coverage every week. Quite often health insurance companies will deny claims for preexisting conditions. The problem with that is if your company decides to switch carriers, that cancer you had 10 years ago won’t be covered if it comes back. In fact some insurance companies classify dometic violence as a preexisting condition. Figures I have read state something like in the past 10 years insurance profits have risen close to 500 percent and premiums have gone up 87 percent. Many small companies can no longer afford insurance.
The majority of doctors now support health care reform. As far as only deadbeats not having health insurance is just plain wrong. The working poor are the ones most hurting.
