I pay 193 a month for basic liability with 21st century Insurance. Where can i get a cheap quote?
Find an agent that carries lots of different companies. They can usually find you something cheaper.

If somethings happens shouldn’t the insurance compnies vaild at the time be responsible.
Whatever insurance you had in force at the time of the incident is responsible for incidents even if you subsequently went to another company for coverage.
i just got motorcycle insurance and they didnt run my credit they gave me a policy just based on my driving history. Is this going to be the same when i get a new vehicle and if so is it because its different policies for the state of california?
I suggest you locate a local car insurance agent to help. Since I live in North Dakota I can’t recommend anyone in California, but here is an website that can help you. http://www.easyautoinsuranceguide.com/California-Car-Insurance.html
Good Luck.
We have 3 vehicles and 4 drivers. All drivers have clean driving records. 2 of the vehicles have full coverage and the other has liability. Allstate is charging us $1300.00 for 6 months. I’ve been shopping around and Geico would only charge $550.00 for 6 months for the same coverages. I have other quotes from other companies that are approximately $700.00 for 6 months. Farmer’s Insurance is the most expensive. They want $1500.00 for 6 months. Why is there such a difference in premiums?
they rate policies in groups, or tiers.
if all 4 of you fall into ‘one’ category driving history wise, and all 3 vehicles fall into ‘one’ category ‘year, type, value’ etc. wise then you’d get more similar premiums.
but, i am guessing that all 4 of you don’t fall into one category and the 3 vehicles don’t either, therefore you are getting quotes from 4 different companies and they all have different rating structures and tiers, so therefore you will get entirely different premiums as the outcome.
Hi,
I was wondering if there are any auto insurance companies that you don’t have to pay upfront. I am seeking car insurance because I had an accident this January and I was at fault. I am a college student, so I am dead broke, but if the insurance can be billed for a couple of weeks then I could pay then but I need some car insurance in a hurry. I am mostly looking for collision with liability and rental discounts. If anyone can tell me a good auto insurance company please let me know. My previous insurance was Farm Bureau (their insurance sucks a$%).
Thanks
-Angelina
If you are eligible for USAA I believe they will bill you for the amount. Eligibility has to do with being in the military or if your father/mother is in the military. Check out usaa.com for actual membership requirements.
Found out State Farm has recently jacked up its auto rates in Washington State and wanted to know why I didn’t know before hand.
The insurance company is obligated to the state to justify rate increases or decreases, not to the client. Similiarly, you are not obligated to the company to stay with them when they increase the rates. Go to Nationwide or Hartford. They are great companies. State Farm is awful.
Its going to be the first time I am getting insurance.
If you want you car fixed right if it gets wrecked, I’d suggest you go with State Farm. They don’t usually try to cut corners on the estimates, they pay for factory parts, when many other companies will try to make you use cheaper aftermarket parts.
With that being said, my insurance is with a different company, but it’s because I have commercial insurance, and for whatever reason I couldn’t get that through my local State Farm Agent.
In applying for auto insurance, I note that several companies want social security numbers from applicants. Is this a legal requirement for obtaining auto insurance? or is it the policy of the insurer? or is it optional?
Mainly I would like to know if you MUST give your SS#. Companies can ASK anything they want, but I want to know if I can say, "I decline to give my SS#, and the company still has to offer me a quote/or a policy.
YES, they even run your credit score now & can refuse you if it is not up to there standard!!! That is just wrong!!! It is mandatory to have vehicle insurance, a credit score doesnt have anything to do with it. I guess they give you the higher rate if it is a low score thats unconstitutional & descriminating!!!
I was just in a car accident and someone hit my car. I need her insurance company to pay for the damage. however I need the check and I don’t want to fix the car now. Should I take the car to a body shop and get an estimate for the damage and then send the estimate to the insurance company and ask them for the check? What should I do? please help me.
You are not required to have the repair work done. In a case where someone else damages your property, you have the exclusive right to determine how and what repairs will be made. An insurance company cannot require you to use a specific shop, nor can they require you to have the repair done.
Get several estimates and send them to the insurance company!
My previous declarations pages shows the amount of premiums I was paying. I’m afraid my my new insurance company will use that information to jack up the price on my next renewal. Can I cross out that information on the copy I send them?
Sure you can block out the premiums. They just want to: A) make sure you did have prior insurance, B) See what your prior coverages were to make a comparison.
Don’t worry about them "jacking up" the rates either. Insurance is state regulated, there is no bartering or price flexibility here. Only coverages change the premium, once all you personal info is put in. Besides, if they want your business wouldn’t they want to give you the best price they could?
