starting a non medical hpemacre business and need to find a insured and bonded company for my business

What’s a hpemacre?

If you’re performing services you’re not licensed for, insurance isn’t going to cover that.

You need to talk to a local, independent agent, to figure out what you need, what you can get, and how much it’s going to cost you.

Do you hope the rotten health insurance companies go out of business forever?

What a nest of vipers hooked up with their puppet politicians.

I hope that the health insurance companies in our country can find new leadership that is not corrupt and actually care about the people who they cover. There is too much power in the hands of these large insurance companies, and too much is at state for them to continue on as they have been. Our citizens have such poor health compared to other nation in our similar economic situation, it is embarrassing and tragic. Hopefully more people will support health care reform and we can get out people healthy once again.

Do I need business insurance for a student window washing business?

July 16, 2010 - 11:25 pm 2 Comments

We would be using telescopic poles, so there would be no possible ladder accidents. I asked about business insurance at some insurance companies and they said that they don’t give insurance for a period less than one year (the business will run only two months, July and August). So, do I need business insurance? Will it be difficult to get customers without it? What would happen if we caused property damage by accident?

Every business should have General Liability insurance. If you do something that causes somebody to think it is your fault, an insurance company insuring your business will do the following:

1. They will provide legal defence for you. Attorneys can be very expensive.

2. They will pay for any of your wrong doing covered by the policy up to the limits of the policy.

3. Give you peace of mind that if you do get sued you will not lose your financial life.

If you don’t have any personal assets and some clients is willing to hire you without you having any insurance coverage, then by all mean, go without.

If you are doing window washing as a student during the summer and you DO NOT have a business using a DBA. Then I don’t think I would bother with insurance as an isurance company would not issue you a policy anyway. However, if you lose customers because of NO INSURANCE then it might benefit you to go legal and get a DBA and insurance.

If you caused some property damage without any insurance, you should pay for it out of your pocket. However, it might be covered by the homeowners policy but don’t count on it.

What insurance companies offer business general liability for personal trainers ? ?

July 16, 2010 - 11:25 pm 2 Comments

Most surplus lines companies should do this – it’s not the GENERAL liability that’s the big risk, it’s the PROFESSIONAL liability.

Having said that, you can’t buy it directly – you’ll need to go to an independent agent, and have them go to their wholesaler with an application, and put this out to market.

It’s not something you can buy directly. Sorry.

Would a President Palin stop Government meddling with the business of private health Insurance Companies?

I’m afraid so. In the name of the holy free market she would take down most legal restrictions on their racket because that’s what the current American health Insurance Industry comes down to. People pay for protection that’s all too often refused when they need it by cynical insurance companies.

And that’s before the likes of Sarah Palin and other free market worshipers got her hands on it. I’m hopeful her political career is over

How do I find out what insurance companies certain businesses have?

July 16, 2010 - 11:20 pm 1 Comment

I want to find out what insurance companies certain businesses have such as U-Haul, Enterprise car rental etc. Do they insure through Progressive, State Farm, Allstate, etc. I need to know for a business idea I have. It might sound weird but it is a need to know question.

A lot of the bigger carriers are "self insured" up to a certain retention level, and then have a "umbrella" for MAJOR damages.

Stop by your local Enterprise Rental place and ASK them – they’ll tell you or look in their glove box. Some have stickers on the back driver side window.

If your "business idea" can make money……..it’s probably already been tried and disgarded.

GOod luck and I hope this helps!

Which insurance companies offer business insurance for roofers in Texas? General Liability Ins. is needed.?

July 16, 2010 - 11:20 pm 2 Comments

My husband started a roofing company and needs help finding an insurance company for general liability.

Well, with a new business, you’re not going to find anyone who will write it directly. You’re going to need to go through a local, independent agent. They’ll get a few quotes.

You’ll probably end up with Scottsdale Insurance, BUT, you can’t go directly to them.

Find a local, independent agent at www.iiaa.org. And be prepared, minimum premium for ONE roofer, assuming you don’t do hot tar roofs, is $1500.

Do people realize insurance companies are in business to make money and?

July 16, 2010 - 11:15 pm 5 Comments

and are not charities to provide medical care?
That is for sure Violet. We need to allow people to purchase insurance across state lines to allow for more competition. Auto insurance prices dropped dramatically when this was done.

Yep, and that’s the problem. Life and death, health and sickenss should never be about business or profit. Doctors, nurses, and health care providers should be paid well, but there is NO reason for a middle man called insurance.
