What are the names of those online car insurance companies with the funny commercials?
Progressive, Geiko.
Progressive, Geiko.
Mulling over the idea and just trying to figure the best way to do it, 24 ft. truck with lift gate under cdl and hauling freight, furniture, just about anything you can transport, but it is not a large delivery radius just yet, 100 miles a day or so
Talk to an insurance agent for a free quote. I believe you may be a little confused about the word "commercial". One need not have a corporation to have a commercial insurance need. You may want to talk to an accountant to see if there is a benefit to incorporating, however. For instance, if you have a business, and pay corporate taxes, you may be able to deduct all of the insurance costs as a business expense. So, make 2 phone calls: to an insurance agent for a quote, and to an accountant, to determine the best form for your business!
Who do you think will win?
I think that Geico from insurance companies . they are funny with the caveman and the lizard . the song on one of their commercials is so funny!
This a an insurance policy that my grandfather had threw barnett bank and theres no number to get a hold of anybody. It says on the front of it Continental Insurance
Commercial Insurance Company of Newark, N.J.
401 W. Peachtree St. N.E.
Atlanta, GA, 30365
Barnett Bank was bought out by Bank of America. I don’t know if that helps.
There is an insurance commercial where a guy represents something which I cannot remember. He drops a gargoyle on a car, then he walks and walks and all these unfortunate events keep happeing as he keeps walking. I cannot even recall which insurance company it is but all I want to know is what the guy is representing in the commercial.
He represents risk; it’s written either on his fingers or his hand
We are going to be trading in out personal car to get one to use for our small business. It will be used for both personal and business means (like the other one), except the business will be footing the bill (already taked to our accountant and all systems are go!).
What makes it a business venture is we are getting a FULL car wrap with advertising for the company on it (talk about a rolling billboard). Much better than those small magnetic signs that are hard to read.
I started looking around and found commercial insurance is WAY more expensive than personal. We are the only ones going to be driving it, we won’t carry clients in it, we won’t have any equipment in the car, so its just like the old car. So do you think I would need commercial insurance or personal?
Depending on what kind of corporation your set up as may dictate how you can use your deductions, but with that aside, no you don’t have to get commercial insurance. From what I’ve been told from someone in your shoes is that if you don’t need a special license class to drive the vehicle, you don’t need it. If you get commercial insurance though (personal insurance too), you should be able to deduct the cost through and use business pre-tax dollars to pay for it so your actual cost is much lower than it first appears. I hope your are having the business buy the car too instead of your after tax income.
Ask your CPA for exact deductions rules for your corporation.
I am in search of a new commercial insurance provider. My current provider doesn’t treat me very well, even though I pay around $40,000 a year for worker’s compensation and coverage for my trucks and trailers.
I run a small dump trucking company in Illinois. Does anyone know of a commercial insurance provider that might work for me ?
Thanks!
Well, as you know, it’s not the kind of risk companies are eager to insure.
My guess is, the auto will end up someplace like Progressive, and you could try your state workers comp fund for the comp part of it.
Your options are limited, due to the size of your account – it’s a lot of money to you, I know, but in the insurance world, it’s generating about $3,000 of commission – and classified a small account. Sorry.
I was watching TV (something I rarely do) this weekend, and I noticed a fair number of car insurance commercials from various companies. They were touting their high level of service and low prices, and urging consumers to investigate and switch to their company.
How come this doesn’t appear to happen with health insurance? Is it because employers, rather than the actual people insured, shop for insurance in many cases? Is it because auto insurers are allowed to compete more freely across state borders? Are the basic expectations different when it comes to health insurance? Or, does competition already exist in the health insurance industry but the product is so much more expensive no matter what?
Serious answers appreciated. Thanks.
Many good answers. Thanks!
They do compete on price. However, there are quite a few factors that artificially and fiscally drive the price up. Governmental mandates and a lot of "bells and whistles" help drive the prices up. In fact, if employers were to drop prescription cards, you would be shocked at what kind of impact that alone would have on prices.
Who is the Redhead actor in the commercial for "The General Insurence"? The commercial is for the insurance company’s website.
Tommy Carl
I’m trying to find an insurance commercial I saw on TV on UTube but I don’t know the name of the company. It’s the commercial where people witness an act of kindness then pass it along to somone else who then does an act of kindness… and so on….
Liberty Mutual
