You need to call some insurance companies and ask them.
Some will, some won’t. Almost all insurers won’t insure with any Bully breed in the home. You also need to check the ordinances in the area you are moving to, most of florida bans bully breeds.

A claim has never been filed. Limits of liability are the same. No hazzardous conditions have entered into the picture.. Paid $956.00 in 2009 and they want $1500.00 for 2010.

The insurance company must charge the premium according to the manual insurance rate approved by your state’s insurance department. Your own loss experience is totally irrelevant to the premium.

There are several great companies that can provide you home insurance but as far as which company will provide you the best rates that depends on several things such as:

Type of home, distance from fire department, condition of the home, etc, etc.

American Bulldog is not on the DO NOT INSURE list with most insurance companies…I actually change the breed of my dog from Staffordshire Bull Terrior to American Bulldog when I moved to another town… you shouldn’t have a problem

The Fire Dept already determined the cause.

Three possible reasons:

1) It’s just a random check.

2) They don’t agree with the Fire Investigator’s determination or somehow suspect it’s inaccurate or incorrect.

3) The Fire Investigator didn’t answer a question they have. (For example, he may have determined the location but not the source, or identified the source as an electronic device but not provided specifics about what the device is.)

They may be looking for someone to hold responsible. For example, if the cause was electrical, they may want to try to collect from the manufacturer of the device.
