Do you think one day health insurance companies will be told they are out of business in USA?

July 18, 2010 - 10:46 pm 10 Comments

do you think such a thing could ever happen, give the amount of profits that are at stake?

do you think such a thing could happen within the next 25 years? how about within 50 years?

If they pass, no when, the public option the death knell for insurance companies will sound clearly. There is no way they can compete with the government at first because the government has our tax dollars to steal.

Do you know any Product Manager or Marketing Manager in US, UK insurance company?

July 18, 2010 - 10:41 pm 1 Comment

I am looking for a person from an insurance company in USA or UK, who is responsible for the way how are their products sold.

Eventually another person on higher position (manager) and eventually in another country.

I have tried to contact all the insurance companies in USA, but they have very strong bureaucratic processes and heavy-weight organizational structure. Therefore it wasn’t possible for me to reach any from the mentioned.

Thank you very much for cooperation.
For any further information, my contact e-mail is: rick172@atlas.sk.

Thank you very much for cooperation.
Still looking…

Well, good luck on that. Marketing departments are structured like that for a reason. The strong bureaucratic processes are usually a result of STATE LAWS.

The insurance industry is heavily regulated. That’s just the way it is.

Insurance companies that cover the SMART car in the USA?

July 18, 2010 - 6:37 pm 4 Comments

I am in the market for a car and found the SMART car, it hasnt come over the pond yet, but im really interested in purchasing it when it does. a few things first im a first time driver. is this a good car for a first time driver. second anyone drive the smart car any pointers like are you happy with it, ect and third in teh USA does anyone know if any insurance companies will cover a first time driver with a SMART car. thanks a bunch

I’ve seen this smart car and i too am considering it. I should think the big ins cos will cover it provided it meets all the safety standards in the U.S. There’s been little to no hype about this car in the U.S. I am waiting for a complete review by Edmunds.com. As far as it being a good car for a first time driver, I should think so. Good luck.

When does your Driving History start in USA?That which is considered by Insurance Companies ?

I mean -Is it after you get your Learner’s Permit or after your permanent License?

From the time you get your permit. This is only considered for accidents though, not a discount for being a "good driver".

List of insurance companies and regulatory bodies in the USA?

July 17, 2010 - 5:38 am 3 Comments

I am looking for a list of non-life Insurance Companies in the USA, and insurance regulatroy bodies (eg NJ Department of Banking and Insurance) by state. Would such a list be available online? I am a student doing an assignment and cannot afford to pay for such a list. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here’s a link to a web page that has links to all State insurance departments:

http://www.naic.org/state_web_map.htm

Getting a list of all licensed health insurers will be much more difficult. You can go to your local library and review the A. M. Best Guide, which lists all licensed insurers. It has a web site, but I don’t think you can print a list.

I hope this helps.
