Pelosi going after the insurance companies?

July 19, 2010 - 12:41 am 7 Comments

Look at this website:

http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune500/2009/performers/industries/profits/

Insurance companies rate as #22 in industry profits. There are 21 other industries that performed better than insurance.

Nearly top of the list are the pharmaceuticals, but no one dares to criticize them. No Democrat is talking about tort reform either.

Could it be because Democrats take political contributions from the pharmaceuticals and high profile attorneys, and not from the insurance companies? I guarantee you, if insurance companies contributed to Dems, and lawyers contributed to Repubs, then Pelosi would be screaming "Tort Reform".
to answer someone’s question: No, I didn’t really need an answer, but wrote the question just to vent.
Just look at the financial sector: The senate finance committee received high contributions from AIG while they were in good standing. AIG got bailed out, didn’t they?
And progressive is not among the top health insurance companies. AARP has always been about Democrats because the Dems make lots of promises to seniors so they vote Democrat

californians should be embarrassed by that skank.

and you can vet as much as you want. listening to others opinions make all of us better people. except liberals, its either their way or no way. then they call you names.

What are the best health care companies?

July 18, 2010 - 10:46 pm 2 Comments

I’m in my early 20’s, have no real health issues, and take no meds. I can not get affordable insurance through my job, and i just can’t go without it anymore. I’m trying to find not just the most affordable plan, but the best company who wont try to screw me over at every turn (which i know is hard to find). I did some searching on my own, but the only list i could find of top rated companies were all state specific.

I have experience with affordable Health Care. Please e-mail me at CWhiteJr1966@yahoo.com. Cottrell B. White, Jr.

I am working as a financial representative for a top rated insurance company. We offer a range of products, but I mainly deal with life insurance, disability income, and long term care. My client base is solely built off of referrals and I am having problems getting enough names. I am looking for some good ways to meet more business people around Denver, and grow my business.

Join the local Rotary International, Lions International, Giants International and The Round Table if you can. All these places attract the top echelon of a city. Ask your wife to join Inner Wheel, etc. In fact join as many clubs, associations or joints where people meet for any reason. You may also join clubs like the laughing club, the flowers loving club, the birds loving clubs, Save the tiger club, Parents and teachers association at the local schools, the morning walkers / joggers club. In fact as I said earlier, wherever people meet for any reason. If u do the above just see after a given period u will keep on getting prospects on the phone seeking your help. Join the local church/ temple too. Join the trade associations too. Best of luck. For furhther guidance email me.

Make an itinerary for a week on how many new prospects yu shall see in a given week, how many followups and how many closings. Die hard to achieve what you may have planned. Make as many cold calls as possible. The referrals are the bloodline for the insurance business. Allways ask for references. Create COI (Center of Influences), persons who will continuously give u list of their friends. Answer to thier needs, do not stick with one company, if a client wants a particular product from a x company get it for him.

Life Insurance: Which companies out there are the "top rated" in perspective of service *AND* price ?

July 18, 2010 - 6:37 pm 5 Comments

With so many companies and websites to choose from, how does the average person know which company has the best service–along with reputation ? In addition… Is ‘Primerica’ truly the "top of the line" as they claim to be ??

There are a lot of well rated companies out there that also have incredibly competitive rates: West Coast Life, Genworth, Prudential, John Hancock, Lincoln Financial, Lincoln Benefit, Transamerica, AIG, MetLife, etc. I would suggest shopping for price and then looking at the financial ratings and reputation of the top 3-5 to find the best fit for you.

One of the reasons that keeping your insurance and investments separate makes sense is because it is rare to find an investment person who is really savvy about insurance and vice versa. Both are very complicated fields in their own right.

top ten insurance companies?

I want to find out whether there is an agency that rates the top insurance companies in Australia. What are the best insurance companies for life insurance

You want to check their AM Best rating. I am pretty sure the website is AmBest.com
They factor in different variables, such as how long the companies have been in business, how much money they have behind them, and how they handle claims. Then they rate the companies from A+ and lower. You should always get a company’s AM best rating, and never settle for less than a B. Hope this helps!
