If I keep switching insurance companies will I eventually find one that will pay me?

I keep seeing all of these commercials that say a certain amount of people saved $300.00 or what not by switching to their insurance. But, doesn’t it have to end somewhere? I mean if everyone can save $300.00 by switching to another insurance company, then they would eventually find one that pays them! I have no problem with any of these companies really. I am a Geico customer, but there is no reason to lie to people.
I mean how can the price simply keep dropping as you switch? Someone has to have the better deal. Sure! But to say that people saved an average of $300.00? Isn’t that a little irrational?
carquotes.fateback.com – try this one. I have their car insurance and, as I know, they can provide such a service.

funny man.
Listen closely to the marketing messages. "Most" people "could" save, etc. & no, one can’t keep changing to get onto the + side. some say that insurance companies are tighter than banks
:)P
funny idea

The price does not keep dropping, Geico (or many other insurance companies) simply say that their rates are on average 300 hundred dollars lower than their competitors. Geico most likely found the highest average price from a competitor and then compared it to their rates which were lower. So if you are already paying a low rate, your rate might in fact go up if you were to switch companies. So no insurance companies don’t offer you smaller rates for switching, some simply have lower rates than others.

Are you kidding? Their legal department combs through those claims to make sure they’re legit before they use them in an ad. Naturally people aren’t switching to pay more.

It’s called ‘wet noodle’ marketing. You advertise heavily, and SOME of the people you quote for, will switch over to you.
