New license and new car rx350 ‘09… whats reasonable insurance price?

I am a new driver (22) and I purchased an rx350 ‘09… The insurance premium came to about 1k a month which is way too high and I can’t afford… I tried calling other insurance companies to compare but they couldn’t give me a quote because I had to be atleast a year driving before they can give me an estimate price.
So I would like to know if I am being ripped off or is the price about right?

This is the reality of it. New driver, sport class auto, big bucks!

With the risk being so tremendously high, you being a new driver in a new car, it’s actually a little low, but about right.
To find the absolute best price, talk to an independent agent and let him search his data base for those companies willing to take those chances, but I doubt you will do much better.

yep..it is going to be expensive. If you can get on your parents insurance policy I would advise you to do so. All you have to do is add your parents to your loan and have them add you as an additional driver which will be a lot cheaper. I got a range rover for my first car the day I got my DL and I was paying almost the same every month for a year.
