My insurance company wants to replace the vinyl siding on one side of my house and re-set the rest?

the problem is its older siding and its faded quite a bit. its way darker behind the laps. My question is "when you re-set the siding will all the pieces of siding that used to be lapped be seen now and if so will the insurance company just re-rap the house?

Get a lawyer and sue. You shouldn’t be forced to live in a sub standard home and pay top dollar for inssurance, noway. What if your house burned up,(i Hope not) will they rebuild it and put you old doors and windows in. same thing.
