How many of you honestly believe that outlawing certain behaviors lowers insurance rates?

Insurance companies exist to make a profit. Do you think they actually lower your rates after they get seat belt laws or smoking laws passed? No, it only benefits them by lowering their payouts. Quit falling for the insurance argument to lose your individual choice.

No,What are they gonna outlaw next? Planes trains and automobiles, beer,
Sugar,salt.

Anytime any corporation says that this or that will lower your cost I guarantee the cost is about to go up.

Auto insurance is tied to behavior.Get tickets and have accidents and your rates go up.Seat belt laws were passed to protect lives. That is all.Helth insuance a should also be tied directly to behavior. Eat $300.00 a month worth of twinkies and your rates should go up. Engage in risky sexual behavior and pay much more for rates. If the government gives " free" health care, then pass laws that if you engage in unhealthy behavior you would not be eligible for health care.Since homo’s live on an average of 30 years less than married people, they should be excluded from the system. Or at least be charged a very high sex tax. Like they want to impose a carbon tax.

Ever notice how they never mention the people that seat belts have killed? Ever wonder what happens to someone in the back seat of a sedan strapped into a seat belt that has been rammed from the side? They die. They don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell.

dude, pretend you own an insurance co.(never will happen).the key is to provide a service and make a profit, you get the picture.it is nothing more than a numbers game.you hopefully choose more healthy people as clients than sick people.you would never have the balls to even consider a business like this.dude,it is always about the money.the stupid gov. programs are the same, the difference is that they do not care about the money-they rob the tax payers.no free lunch or free health care.wake the fk up people…..

wow, someone with a brain. FINALLY there’s someone out there who understands. in fact, we changed our constitution in Texas to remove the right to go to court, and it now applies to medical lawsuits, lawsuits against builders, etc. all to lower insurance rates. but the better question is, how many people have actually ever had their insurance rates go down without switching companies?

    1. My individual choice is to NOT support those selling cancer and making their consumers addicted!

    2. The only way to get insurance companies to lower their rates is to make it obvious how much they are ripping everyone off – which bringing in insurance provided by ability to pay system will prove exactly that. It did in Wisconsin – Badger Care got many of the other insurers to lower their premiums because of their ability to keep costs down. . .

    3. Quit excusing weak willed individuals that want to give themselves cancer and suck my money away!!!

Not I. What I would like to know, how many jobs did Congress get started this week? While they were spending time, talent and treasure on Ms Nancy’s pet peeve, how many jobs did they create? This bunch is a joke. They are after power and insider benefits, not the good of the USA.
