Insurance Companies?
Raise your hand if you trust insurance companies to take care of your health care needs.
The bottom line is at the top of their list you are at the bottom when push comes to shove. I don’t want to be at the mercy of some greedy corporation’s decisions especially these days.
HSAs will worsen, rather than improve, the U.S. health system’s problems because people who are healthy will leave insurance plans while people who have health problems will avoid HSAs. There is also debate about consumer satisfaction with these plans.

no, I trust that the company I work for will make them behave. I would never trust the government, even with good intentions. Governement run health care will destroy America’s health care. Only the super rich and elites like obama will recieve quality care. The rest of us trash will stand in line.

Health Savings Accounts….LOL…I feel sorry for these people when they have to stay in the hospital. HSAs are OK I guess for regular doctor checkups…but you are screwed if all you have is an HSA and you have something major happen.

You do realize that Medicare (a government run health insurance program) also makes the health care decisions for the elderly, don’t you?
with medicare, you nor your doctor decide when and how long hospitalization is necessary. Medicare does.
And for those who say what can you expect for free……it’s not. My mom pays $80 a month for the limited coverage. She also has to have private insurance to cover what medicare doesn’t.
It’s no bargain, and it’s no different than what insurance companies do.

well I think the answers are mostly biased…because they assume a fed regulated healthcare would work the same as now.
In a privatised system like now, you see your doctor (if you can afford it) he tells you what you should do to get better and then you check with your insurance to see if you can indeed do it, if the procedure is approved and if it is ok since they need to make the $10 billion a year they make.
In a system run by the "feds", the policy would usually (can’t tell cause it has never happened here, but according to other country;s policies) be that you are sick so you need treatment.Treatment becomes a universal right. No one can die of cancer cause someone needs to make money. Your medical team takes the decisions. not your government. You don’t call the feds to be approved for a Mri.
It is basically 2 different policies, based on two very different beliefs:
One needs to be profitable to keep running (privtaised) and therefore generates capital out of your sickness and health.A private system also implies that you are only good enough to live if it doesn;t cost the society too much.
The other needs to be "managed" to avoid losses in order to keep runnning…
In which case do you think, your health is better taken care of?
in the case of someone whose job it is to make money off of you, or in the case of someone that is trying to provide healthcare for all and keeping it at no loss??
It is like comparing a private interest company to a non profit…
It is just different belief system..

Private insurance is in business to make money. Lower on their list is to provide coverage. Their decisions are designed to save them money at the expense of your health.
The optimistic responses you’ve received don’t speak for the 25-40 million Americans who are under-covered or have no coverage at all – let alone the millions who’ve gone into bankruptcy as a result of unfair and denied coverage. And many affected by the unfair, but entirely legal system meant to give full advantage to business instead of consumers, have families, too.
The insurance industry is a scam, fraud, and morally criminal business practice too often made into a legal business practice through corrupt state and federal regulators who have their interests placed first instead of the American public.
Insurance has become theft, pure and simple.

Although Private Insurers come up with excellent & fruitful schemes, but we tend to forget that schemes can’t be programmed or designed when it comes to health care,they show it to you,to sell sell & sell..
I believe one must trust government organisations, yet for me i only trust 2,Either govrernment(If not) then Allianz.

I’ll bet that most of you people, against public health care, get it from your employers. Well, try to go and see if you can get an individual premium on your own. Insurance companies deny several individuals healthcare for the smallest reasons. My friend who works part-time and goes to school full-time got denied bluecross because of allergies. I got denied from bluecross and kaiser because I have a history of wrist pain (I broke my wrist when I was 17, the pain still comes and goes). Other than that, I am young, healthy, and in good shape. I only work 2 days a week and am a full-time nursing student. There is no way I can afford $300 a month for COBRA working just 2 days a week. And, being 25 years old, I can no longer be on my parents insurance plan. Something has to be done about these insurance companies. They literally get away with murder and no one cares.
