Insurance job-What other kinds of jobs could i get after gaining my experience at this insurance company?
I have this job at an insurance company that i started working at about 4months ago. Its very different, its privately owned, so they kind of do things a little different and already they are promoting me from a c.s.r. to a ??… I don’t know what its called actually, ive tried looking it up for similar positions but im not finding much, but basically after being promoted i will be helping in a process of completing medical applications, asking questions that pertain to the individuals medical history, and processing it all, all over the phone. A lot of nurses and dr’s will be my piers but im wondering what i might be able to use the experience for in the industry of insurance/clerical/administrative??? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
You may need an insurance license for what you will be doing in your new job. Check with your boss and with the Department of Insurance in your state.

Because you are to some extent dealing with medical questionnaires – although not sure of Drs and nurses will be your peers. However, you could add a legal skill to your CV, if you moved into e.g. Personal Injury or Clinical Negligence.
It could then allow you to work both at insurers or solicitors firm. You would need a little training – probably in house.
If you are unsure about your present position – i.e. name and duties – you should look at your contract will explain some of the general duties and also ask your boss (e.g. a review or training plan). This is important since if you decided to later move, you would have to explain your previous/present job title and duties.
