Compare The Meerkat Advert NEW (Compare The Market), Cheap Car Insurance

July 17, 2010 - 11:02 pm 18 Comments

Compare The Meerkat (comparethemeerkat.com) advert which advertises the price-comparison website, Compare The Market (comparethemarket.com).

This is the new shorten advert!

Compare The Market.com compares prices on a number of items including car insurance, home insurance, as well as credit cards, loans and mortgages.

It aims to give you the cheapest quote from a number of big companies, including the AA, the Post Office and HSBC.

The reason for this advert is the constant mis-spelling of Compare The Market, with users inputting Compare The Meerkat instead.

The advert features a russian meerkat called Alexsandr (somtimes spelt as Alexander) who is the founder of Compare The Meerkat. He complains about the number of cheaper car insurance requests and plays the jingles for both of them.

On his website, you can compare meerkats by size, their favourite hobbies and their location.

Certainly one of the best advertising campaigns in recent time. But remember, if you want cheap car insurance, it’s CompareTheMarket.com.

Republicans, a wholly owned subsiduary of the insurance industry Anthony Weiner, Democrat NY

July 17, 2010 - 4:40 am 16 Comments

U. S. House of Representatives Feb.24, 2010 Wednesday 10:00 am CSPAN
Representative Anthony Weiner, Democrat representing the state of New York, USA.
Health Care for Americans, Insurance Industry Bill is called HR4626 Removing Antitrust Exemption for Insurance Firms. HR4626 amends the 1945 McCarran-Ferguson Act.
Democrats are in favor of Bill HR 4626 because it would make the medical insurance industry be subject to the same antitrust laws that all other American businesses have to follow. If it passes it means that both the federal and state governments of America can regulate the fees and rates customers are charged for health care. All Americans would benefit by having more affordable health care. The insurance companies oppose the bill because they want to be allowed to increase rates consumers pay, such as Anthem Health Care Company increasing their rates 39 percent this year in California, while they are making record profits American consumers are going without health care or going broke trying to pay the outrageous fee raises. Republicans are opposed to the bill because they have been getting money from the Insurance companies to block any effort at regulation.
Democrat Nancy Pelosi of California, Democrat Peter DeFazio of Oregon, and Democrat John Garamendi, are also in favor of regulating the Insurance Industry so that American consumers will be able to afford health care.

Auto/Car Insurance Coverage Laws Explained – New York State

July 16, 2010 - 12:16 pm 14 Comments

*New York State Auto/Car Insurance Coverage Laws Explained

We have two types of insurance in New York State required of every motor vehicle. One deals with no fault insurance, which pays for medical benefits, lost wages, and some out of pocket expenses, regardless of fault. The other is liability insurance and they are not the same.

What I want to urge each of you, is that you cover yourself as well as someone who is involved in a car accident with you. And by that I mean, if you carry $100,000 worth of liability insurance, your protecting me, if you hit me with your car.

If you get into a collision with another car, and you only have $25,0000 worth of underinsurance coverage, then you’re protecting yourself only to the extent of $25,000. It pays for you to make certain that your underinsurance rates are as high as your regular insurance coverage. The cost is minimal and the protection is priceless.

Now with no-fault insurance your medical expenses are paid. Within 30 days of the auto accident, you are required to notify your insurance company that you have been involved in a automobile accident. They will assign a claim number to your case. You will give that claim number to any treating doctor/physician or any other medical provider and they will bill your insurance company directly regardless who is at fault in this car accident. Your insurance company will submit you to a physical examination by a doctor of their own choosing in about 30 days after you start receiving benefits.

That doctor is not there to help you, that doctor is not there to cure your illness, that doctor is there to report to your insurance company on the progress of your healing. He works for the insurance company, not you.
